Cooper Anchors – 1.5kg Cooper Nylon Anchor for Small Boats & RIBs (Up to 5m)

Looking for a lightweight, high-performance anchor that won’t damage your boat? Welcome to the future the 1.5kg Cooper Nylon Anchor is the ideal solution for small boats, RIBs, jet skis, and other lightweight watercraft up to 5 metres (16 feet) in length. Engineered from durable, marine-grade nylon, this anchor offers reliable holding power without the weight and potential damage caused by traditional metal anchors.

Why Choose a Cooper Nylon Anchor?

Cooper Anchors are expertly designed to set quickly and hold firmly in a variety of seabed conditions, particularly sand and mud. Its innovative shape includes a small rear blade that optimally positions the anchor on contact, allowing it to dig in fast and stay put. Ideal for boaters who need a compact, corrosion-free, and easy-to-handle anchor, this model is perfect for those looking to protect the interior of their boats from scratches, dents, or rust caused by metal anchors.

Key Benefits:

  • Strong, Lightweight Nylon Construction: Easy to handle and store without compromising strength.

  • Boat-Friendly Design: Prevents damage to your boat’s interior, deck, and fittings—no sharp galvanised edges.

  • Quick-Set Performance: Optimized blade design ensures fast setting and strong holding in sand or mud.

  • Ideal for Small Boats: Designed for vessels up to 5 metres (16ft), including RIBs, dinghies, and tenders.

  • Secondary Tripping Hole: Added safety feature for high-risk anchoring scenarios (e.g. wreck fishing).

  • Corrosion-Resistant: Completely rust-free and UV-stable for extended durability in marine environments.

Enhanced Anchoring with a Chain (Recommended)

For optimal performance, we recommend using a 1–2 metre length of chain (not included) between your rope and the anchor. This helps the anchor lay flat and enhances its ability to dig in and hold—especially useful in strong currents or shifting conditions.

Secondary Tripping Hole – For Difficult Anchoring Conditions

When anchoring in areas where snags are likely (such as wrecks or reefs), the secondary tripping hole allows for a smart retrieval method. Attach your rope or chain to the rear tripping point and use a light cable tie to secure it to the main shank. If the anchor gets stuck, the cable tie will break under strain and the anchor will pull free backwards. Note: This method should only be used where failure of the cable tie poses no risk, and never with unattended vessels.

Available Sizes:

  • 230g – for ultra-light applications

  • 1kg – for smaller crafts and PWCs

  • 1.5kg (This Model) – largest in the nylon series for boats up to 5m

Upgrade your anchoring gear with the Cooper Nylon Anchor—lightweight, efficient, and built for performance.
