The SH775 family is used by motorcycle owners converting from older shunt regulator rectifiers to series regulation. A series regulator interrupts alternator current when it is not required, which can reduce alternator losses. The result depends on the motorcycle’s charging system, electrical load and installation; replacing the regulator does not repair an already damaged stator or wiring.

The examples below come from motorcycle forum installation reports. They refer to SH775-family conversions, not manufacturer-approved fitment or guaranteed direct compatibility with this exact SH775AA / 710001103 unit.

Conversion applications may require a suitable connector harness, wiring alterations, appropriate circuit protection and a mounting bracket.
